Results during the growth phase

  • In the case of GR Broweg, we have an ideal comparison scenario, because right next to the FITOVALOR field there is a control field belonging to someone else. So our farmer compares his field to his neighbor’s, and our field looks much better than the neighbor’s.
  • The height of the corn treated with FITOVALOR is 2.20–2.40 meters. The control group is approximately 1.8–2 meters tall.
  • The corn treated with FITOVALOR fertilizer is mature—yellowish-brown stalks predominate, and the leaves are beginning to fall off the ears. In the control field, green stalks with closed, undeveloped ears predominate. The maturity of the corn compared to the control is striking, indicating very good crop preparation and fertilization. The maturity of our corn is highly satisfactory—the customer claims to have the best corn in the region.
  • We did not have our neighbor's permission to accurately measure the corn in the control field.
  • The corn plant has about 12 leaves that are very yellow, while the control plant has 9–10 leaves.
  • The stem treated with FITOVALOR fertilizer is 3 cm thick, while the control group is 2–2.5 cm thick.
  • Our plant is 19–21 cm long and 5–5.5 cm wide, while the control plant is 13–15 cm long and 3–4 cm wide. The plant has 14–16 rows of 34–36 kernels per row, and the control plant has 10–13 rows of 34–38 kernels.
  • After applying FITOVALOR fertilizer, there is usually one ear per stalk, sometimes two. The same is true for the control group.
  • In some cases, Mr. Węglewski’s corn has missing kernels in the upper part of the cob (2–4 “rings”). We conclude that this is due to a lack of water or nutrients.

Conclusions

  • The customer used very intensive fertilization in addition to our fertilizer and achieved the best results in the area. It would be difficult to take full credit for this, but based on the harvest data, we know that adding our fertilizer in just one application resulted in a 10% higher yield compared to the customer’s other plantations. Unfortunately, we do not know the harvest results from the neighbor’s farm.
  • Based on this customer’s experience, we know that a 3-liter application of our fertilizer per hectare does not have a detrimental effect on the crop; on the contrary, we observe faster plant growth, which is also natural.
  • Based on our discussions, we know that the lack of kernels at the tips of the corn cobs is due to a lack of nutrients or water. We therefore conclude that one application is definitely not enough. In our fertilization guidelines, we recommend a minimum of two, and preferably three, applications.
